GamePoint Athletics offers a robust PE program for middle and high school students in a friendly and non-judgemental learning environment.  Students will participate in many cooperative learning activities that work on group problem solving skills.  Skills that require intense teamwork and persistence to achieve a set objective. Students will also play in fun traditional and non-traditional PE games, and learn and practice potential lifetime physical activities and skills. Additionally, students will be engaged in physical activities that are designed to improve present levels of aerobic and anaerobic fitness.

The Gamepoint Athletics PE program emphasizes many character traits that transcend sports or physical fitness.  Students will grow as upstanding human beings as they discuss and practice virtues such as perseverance, humility, patience, courage, etc.

For the break, we’ll have games, internet access, even a 3D Printer and of course the whole front 50 acres for the kids to explore (and maybe a little field trip or two to the back 50 with disc golf and hiking trails)… kids will have to bring a lunch for the break and be dressed for a hike!

We’ll wrap the day up with a beginners archery course taught by local Master Archer, Abigail Abraham. Ms. Abraham competes nationally with a Recurve bow.

This beginners class will introduce archery through a recurve bow. The students will first learn about range safety and etiquette, as well as basic information about their equipment to ensure proper handling. They will then learn and practice the fundamentals of good archery form, and begin to develop: SKILL, FOCUS, PATIENCE, and DISCIPLINE, virtues we can all strive for but never master. (Basic equipment will be supplied as part of the course.)
