Part III of our Vocational Science series will have Mr. Paul Gernhardt lead the students to build an amateur (“ham”) radio station in the tile room powered by solar cells. This course will serve as a complete Amateur Radio Technician’s license for those who want to test for it.

Class Goals (Spring – Amateur Radio and Solar Power):
For Part III of Vocational Science at the LFC, Mr Gernhardt will be guiding the students through all the skills necessary to get the Amateur Radio Technicians License. The class will be creating an amateur radio station on the property using Solar power.
The Spring Program is 10 Weeks, beginning on March 1, and going every Wednesday through to May 17 (with two weeks off for Easter — April 5 and 12) From 11:00am to 12:15pm. Ages 10-17 (~Grades 5 to 11).
